Villagio - Buildings 2, 5 and 6
Fort Collins, Colorado
$3,575,000 · 2008
Client: Harmony Executive Park LLC
Buildings 2, 5 and 6 comprise 29,690 sq. ft. of retail and office space, part of the 7-building Villagio mixed-use development. Buildings 2 and 6 are 1-story multi-tenant retail/restaurant buildings of 9,530 sq. ft. and 7,060 sq. ft. respectively. Building 5 is a 2-story, 13,100 sq. ft. multi-tenant retail/office building, designed for a bank tenant on the main level with an attached drive-thru teller canopy. The buildings form an urban edge along Harmony Road, with the areas between buildings designed to create intimate outdoor spaces highlighted with naturalistic water features and patio dining terraces.
All three buildings were designed in collaboration with the developer and other architects, using a common palette of design elements, materials and colors. Massing includes a mix of barrel, arched and sloped roof forms creating vaulted interior spaces, and a combination of battered stone wall elements and lighter stucco walls with expansive areas of glass. These are contrasted against delicate steel brackets, sweeping sunscreens and trellised awning elements. All projecting roof elements are vaulted to provide dynamic interior spaces and allow an abundance of natural light.
Professional services included full architectural and limited engineering services for the three buildings within the development.
